Anna Towne stands with a ceremonial check for $750 and her 2nd place prize awarded during the 3-Minute Thesis finals held on August 4, 2026.
Ten trainees from across the Graduate School were selected to present at the 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) finals competition on Tuesday, August 4th after advancing through three preliminary rounds. Presenting their research in just three minutes and using only a single static slide, two trainees from the Molecular Cancer Biology program represented the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology:
- Margaret Weber Barbier from the lab of Trudy Oliver, PhD
- Anna Towne from the lab of Ann Marie Pendergast, PhD
Anna Towne earned second place in the competition, receiving a $750 award and a plaque.
