Speaker

Chris Chidley, PhD
The Chidley Lab in the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology studies how transporter proteins move nutrients, metabolites, and vitamin-derived cofactors across membranes. We mainly use unbiased CRISPR-based genetic screening together with cell biology, biochemistry, and analytical chemistry to discover and characterize transporters across diverse metabolic environments. Our work aims to uncover how the tumor microenvironment shapes nutrient use and reveal fundamental principles of transporter biology relevant to cancer and beyond.
